Who sees my location data?
You do — on your app. Bulldog's operations team can access it in two situations: an alert you've responded to (like theft recovery) or a diagnostic issue flagged by the system. We don't have dashboards pulling your live location for surveillance purposes.
Can I turn it off?
The hardware stays installed during the lease term — it's a condition of the program and part of why we can approve drivers other lenders can't. The alerts and coaching frequency can be dialed down in your app if you find them too noisy.
What happens to the data after I pay off the truck?
At buyout, you decide: keep the hardware and Teletrac subscription in your name (many O/Os do — it's useful on its own), or remove it. Your historical data is yours to export either way.
Does Bulldog sell my data to anyone?
No. Not to brokers, not to insurance companies, not to third-party marketers. Your data is used to operate the Truck Protection program — nothing else.
Is this what makes approval possible?
Yes, in part. When your truck is monitored and recoverable, we have more confidence to approve drivers other lenders turn away. It's not the only factor — our 15-criteria scorecard weighs a lot more — but it's part of why we can say yes where others say no.
Does the Teletrac hardware mess with my truck?
No. It's a passive data reader that connects to your truck's existing OBD system. No modifications to the engine, transmission, or any safety system. It's the same hardware used by Fortune 500 fleets.
